Durante lo sviluppo di front-end spesso ci accorgiamo di dover ripetere speso porzioni di istruzioni ed atre problematiche simili.

Il mondo J2EE ci mette a disposizione due alternative per migliorare lo sviluppo di front-end senza "sporcare" il codice HTML con istruzioni Java.

Java Server Pages, JSP, è la pietra miliare ed è l'approccio più diretto a questo tipo di problemi anche se non possiede tutte le funzionalità che sono state poi introdotte in futuro con altre tecnologie.

La Java Standard Tag Library, JSTL, è un set di, appunto, tag XML che si possono utilizzare all'interno di pagine JSP. Grazie a JSTL è possibile ridurre ancora di più la presenza di scriptlet Java all'interno dei nostri front-end e quindi rendere più manutelibili le soluzioni così realizzate.
